Portrait in the Window with David Crocker

After our first sitting with David he’ll be back in the gallery to finish off our portraits. Stop by during the day to appear in our timelapse or to have a chat if you fancy having your own “Portrait in the Window”!

Talented artist David Crocker has always enjoyed putting a creative spin on his work, and his pieces, whether portrait, coastal or landscape, are never just about the finished canvas. On his youtube page you’ll find many examples of this in his series of timelapses recorded during his 365 South West Coast Path project, which capture many great stories and moments as well as showing the impressive construction of the 365 paintings.

“Portrait in the Window” is another variation on this taking place at the gallery and we’re the first to try it, sitting with David in the window of the gallery whilst he paints us, an art piece in itself. The whole thing is being timelapsed, capturing the creation of the piece, our day in the window and the reactions of passers-by. If you fancy being a part of it, make sure to drop by on June 14th and pull your best face as you go past the gallery window. Then pop in to chat to David and see the progress on the pieces and maybe even talk about your own “Portrait in the Window”!
