Call For Art - Heritage Exhibition

Call for Artists / Heritage Exhibition / 1st -27th August / Deadline: July 18th

Our heritage is not simply our history, past events spread out along the timeline. Heritage refers to the things of significance we carry with us from that timeline; events, objects and individuals that have shaped us and continue to influence us; items of significance to the many or the few, that we recognise and protect as holding intrinsic importance, and will continue to be of value in the years, decades and centuries to come.

Artizan Gallery is seeking artists to participate in our forthcoming exhibition which will celebrate this broad theme. Submissions on this theme could take many forms, engaging with ideas of personal, local or national heritage. Artists may take the opportunity to present their own heritage, their ancestry and history, or alternatively explore areas of local significance around the bays UNESCO World Heritage Status and Devon's numerous sites of historic significance associated with English Heritage.

The exhibition which will run from 1st - 27th August and we are also seeking artists to lead discussion alongside their work in an evening of Art Talks on 15th August.
