Volunteers wanted for the 'Handmade Heritage' project!
Are you interested in local heritage?
Would you like the opportunity to volunteer for an exciting community project and event, funded by Heritage Lottery Fund?
If so we need you :)
We are looking for volunteers who would like to be involved in our 'Handmade Heritage' community project and event, which focuses on the rich heritage of Leavesden Country Park and Abbots Langley area.
You can help in a number of ways:
* sharing your own story or memory of the park or local area- perhaps you used to be a nurse at Leavesden Hospital, or an engineer in the Aerodrome?
* helping to capture other peoples' stories and conversations about the subject, using voice recording equipment. Oral history training will be provided!
* helping at the Handmade Heritage event day with set up, close down, stewarding and running activities- Saturday 6th May 2117 from 11am-3pm
Your contribution, if only a little is very valuable to us!
