Ross Ashmore
Underground Art - from Tuesday 5 November
Rickmansworth Scenes - from Monday 2 December - Friday 3 January 2014
"Every painting is an action - making the mark in the paint creates energy and conveys emotion- it creates the mood- it begins to take on a life of it's own."
Ross Ashmore is an urban landscape artist using oil - based paint in an expressionistic style to narrate scenes that evoke memories of places people have a relationship with.
To co-incide with this years 150th anniversary of the London Underground and three years in the making, Ross has completed individual paintings of all 267 stations - each one a dedication to the stations architecture and all that surrounds it.
He returns to Artistsmeet with two separate exhibitions demonstrating his love for the Underground and the first showing of a new collection, portraying his connection with local life.
Ross lives in Rickmansworth with his family and has a studio on the High Street.
