As part of the annual Herts Visual Arts Open Studios programme, Artistsmeet are supporting as a host venue and are delighted to display the work of Hertfordshire based artist, Gaye Daniels.

Her work is mostly abstract, contemporary and impressionist inspired, created in acrylic paint on canvas, board, wood and paper. Although her current focus is painting, Gaye also sculpts soft stone and clay and create collages from nature and found objects.

“I love colour and the imagination of what an object can transform. I’ll start with an idea or image, play around with it and then let it take its own journey. I like to immerse myself in the colour and shape of the object I’m painting, trying to discover an alternative of what it could become.”

Gaye is a member of Herts Visual Arts (HVA) and IMAP on the Cote d’Azure.

All of her work is available to purchase and commissions are welcomed.
