Overview
We are looking for a professional freelance social media / marketing developer to analyse and improve our social media and marketing strategies. The right person must be able to look into our history and statistics and offer the best ways for a small organisation to promote cultural activities on the digital domain. The selected person will closely work with our programme manager and web developer with several goals specific to social media / digital exposure. This is a part of our next three months research and development programme funded by Arts Council England in order to investigate sustainability as a small organisation, building new audiences and maintaining DIY cultural scene.
We are looking for someone who has
- understanding the importance of DIY culture, being familiar with its pros and cons, and the context in which it operates.
- interest in underground and experimental music and art.
- passion to work with small teams of people.
- experience creating and working with web analytics to improve social media strategy.
-experience to creates information for web pages and online marketing.
- experience creating written and visual content for social media marketing campaigns, including articles, blogs, ad copy, and graphics.
- ability to maximise online public engagement.
-have an in-depth knowledge of the social media landscape and how best to enhance and expand our current and potential new communication skills.
- fairness and equality, and ability to understand a good social structure welcoming diversity of people.
This role has been administered on rotation within ame staff. We now would like to develop this position in a more professional way. Although this is a short-term contract, there are opportunities for the role to be developed and extended, depending on our accessibility to funds in the future.
About ame CIC :
ame (art music experiment) is an artist-collective organisation supporting contemporary music and art in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Since 2016, we have commissioned national and international artists for concerts, installations, exhibitions and artist-in-residence programs. ame became Charity Interest Company in 2017.
Core Tasks;
- Analyse the organisations’s current level of marketing and suggest ways to improve.
- Written and visual content creation.
- Excellent attention to detail and a desire to improve efficiencies in digital promotion.
- Managing all social platforms and driving engagement levels including Facebook, Instagram, Youtube etc.
- Monitoring and devising strategies to drive and improve online communication.
- Tracking and developing and managing digital marketing campaigns to increase audience numbers.
- Overseeing the social media strategy.
- Promoting ame’s ongoing work through Mailchimp.
- Promoting ame’s ongoing work through social media.
- Review new technologies and keep the organisation at the forefront of developments in digital marketing.
- Assist the organisation’s web developer.
