An exhibition of printmaking and mixed media works at The Flavel Centre in Dartmouth.

Emma Cook and Alison Veazey present a collection of printmaking and mixed media works exploring both the power and the intimacy of landscape.

Composition, pattern, texture and colour are strong features in the works of both artists.

Emma Cook’s semi-abstract works are developed in response to studies of detail found in the landscape and the coastline. She adds colour and pattern by embellishing and embroidering her collagraph prints and paintings in acrylics.

Alison Veazey takes a wider view of the landscape, looking for dramatic compositions with rugged cliffs, striking tree forms or architectural detail. Subjects include the Lake District and the Pembrokeshire coast, as well as landmarks in south Devon.
