Hi I'm Alex and 'alexshows.co.uk' is my very own business.

I trained in Musical Theatre from The Brit School of Performing Arts in London, and graduated from Winchester University with a BA(hons) in Performing Arts. I was very lucky to work for five years in the industry touring shows up and down the country, including living in Paris for a year as a professional dancer.

As much as I loved my job, I didn't enjoy the lifestyle of living out of a suitcase.. a lot!... so I set up alexshows.co.uk back in 2011, so I could perform my own shows and showcase my passion for using entertainment to touch people lives, bring them joy, a charming form of escapism and an experience they will never forget. All near to my home in Hertfordshire or further afield

I provide Vintage Singing Shows for all occasions, which allows me to indulge in my love for the old American song book and have fun emulating the fashions that go with it. I perform songs from 1930-60's either solo to backing tracks or with my own band called 'The Miss Jones Jazz band'. Most commonly I perform at Vintage Festivals, Corporate Events, Weddings, Private Parties, Society Luncheons and War Veteran Dos.

I also provide Interactive Storytelling Performances for children aged three to six years, which are perfect for all the Julia Donaldson fans out there! Most commonly I perform in Schools, Museums and Libraries and at Festivals, Family Events and Corporate Days.
